Multiscale algorithms based on finite super element method for two-phase flow simulations
P. Yu. Tomin
Abstract:
Multiscale finite super element method for two-dimensional two-phase flow simulations is considered. System of equations for incompressible fluid is solved; coarse grid is used for pressure equation. Weak sense flux continuity conditions are imposed, but support operator method approximation allows obtaining strong convergence. The fine grid pressure function is calculated to solve saturation equation at each time moment. The approximation of the first was constructed for the hyperbolic equation on the non-orthogonal. Explicit and implicit schemes are used to solve the saturation equation. Calculations show certain advantages of described method. In particular it belongs high resolution methods class, i.e. properly resolves exact solution features.
