On the problem of thermophysical properties determination for Phobos soil

M. Ya. Marov, A. V. Kolesnichenko, V. N. Lebedev, K. K. Manuilov
Abstract: Methodology and main features of THERMOPHOB scientific instrument to be installed on PHOBOS-GRUNT lander are described. The goal of this experiment is direct in situ measurements of thermophysical and electrophysical properties of Phobos surface soil layer. Both potential and scientific-technological constraints inherent to the proposed method based on mathematical modeling of collection and interpretation of the measured information are discussed.
