The athlete organism adaptation peculiarities in high intensity test detected using “zones” model
I. A. Esselevich
Abstract:
The work concerns the adaptation dynamics of athlete organism to high intensity exercise. We used “zones” model and symptom analysis for physiological parameters study. The method allowed us to offer the organism adaptation models based on the concepts of aerobic processes acceleration following exercise onset and exhaustion of the organism resources towards the end of test. The formalized analogues of physiological anaerobic threshold criteria are obtained. The “zones” model permitted us to mark aerobic and anaerobic processes ratio changes (transitions) during adaptation to high intensity exercises. Symptom analysis allowed to obtain some signs of these transitions. Also the approach pointed the weakest parts (limiting factors) in the complex system of organism energy supply. So in a number of cases aerobic potential of organism is limited by cardiovascular system, in a number of cases — by tissue aerobic potential (tissue respiration), and sometimes — by respiratory system.
