The effective algorithm for 3D modeling of electromagnetic waves' propagation through photonic crystals
A. V. Zakirov, V. D. Levchenko
Abstract:
In this work the main problems of 3D photonic crystal modeling have been analyzed and the ways for solving them have been considered. As main algorithm of computational modeling local-recursive nonlocal-asynchronous (LRnLA) method for Maxwell equations have been realized and optimized using special absorbing conditions PML (Perfectly Matched Layer). The high effectiveness of this algorithm have been shown. An example of computation have given, different degree of electromagnetic waves' passing through photonic crystal have been illustrated.
Keywords:
Maxwell equations, finite-difference time-domain method, localrecursive nonlocal-anisochronous algorithm, absorbing boundary conditions, perfectly matched layer, effective algorithms.
