Influence of porous wingtips on the formation of tip vortices

A. E. Lutsky, A. V. Severin
References:
Abstract: The interaction of a wingtip made of a porous material with a tip vortex has been studied. It has been established that the porous tip significantly affects the structure and parameters of the vortex and reduces its intensity.
Keywords: tip vortex, vortex wake, supersonic flow, porous materials.
