Hydrocarbon fuels combustion simulation with EPIRK4(3) method

S. A. Konev
References:
Abstract: The paper deals with exponential methods for solving stiff systems of ODEs. The experience of implementation EPIRK3 and EPIRK4 methods is described. It is shown, that EPIRK4 methods do not converge with order four. Refined EPIRK4 methods that converge with order four are constructed. The new methods are tested with the hydrocarbon fuel combustion problem.
Keywords: numerical methods, stiff systems, exponential integrators, soot formation.
