The historical context of the Platonov–Kazakova archive and the organization of ballistic support for spacecraft flights

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the description of the space archive of Platonov–Kazakova, collected at the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics and covering documents from the 1950s to 80s. The context of the archive is discussed: a general outline is given of those space tasks and specific space projects, the work on which gave rise to archive materials. The article also describes (of course, very fragmentary) the organizational aspects of the work of ballistics specialists that were reflected in this archive.
