Implementation of the level set method for geometric evolution of fracture using mesh-characteristic method

E. Savenkov, A. Ivanov
References:
Abstract: In this work we describe implementation of the level set approach for simulation of fracture evolution. Comprehensive description of the corresponding algorithms is provided as well as implementation details. Results of the numerical simulations are presented.
Keywords: level set method, fracture evolution, Hamilton–Jacoby equations.
