An implicit scheme based on the LU-SGS method for URANS equations with SST turbulence model

Abstract: In this paper we present a fully implicit scheme for 3D unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations with SST turbulence model. The algorithm is based on LU-SGS procedure. Using the developed method some external aerodynamics problems are simulated, the results demonstrated the correctness and efficiency of the method. Numerical results are compared with published data and results of simulations performed with the Spalart–Allmaras turbulence model.
