Numerical simulation of poroelasticity problems

Abstract:
In this work a mathematical problem statement for poroelasticity is presented in details. The nonisothermal case is considered. Equations of the model are described as well as constitutive relations for the case of small strains. A finite element method for the solution of the problem is reviewed. Results of the numerical simulations for a number of common test problems are presented.
