Discrete fracture network modelling: physical and mathematical model

Abstract:
The paper reviews different approaches to describe multiphase flows in fractured porous media with application to reservoir simulation. A DFN type single and two–phase models accounting for variable fracture apertures and capillary forces is described with details.
