Traffic flow dynamics on road network fragments using two-dimensional mathematical models
M. A. Trapeznikova, A. A. Chechina, N. G. Churbanova
Abstract:
Two mathematical models of traffic flows, based on macro- and microscopic approaches, are considered. Macroscopic model uses quasi-gas-dynamic system of equations. Microscopic model is based on cellular automata theory. Test results for several numerical experiments, including parallel calculations, are adduced.
Keywords:
traffic flows, micro- and macroscopic approach, parallelization efficiency.
