Approximation of probability distributions by $k$-valued logic functions

Abstract:
We consider distribution transformation for random variables over a finite set. We show that substituting independent identically distributed random variables with a given distribution for variables of a specific $k$-valued functions, one my obtain an arbitrarily close approximation of any given distribution.
