Abstract: The preprint examines various ways to calculate the gross domestic product of the Russian Federation and the contradictions in the system of national accounting that arise out of it. A way of escaping this contradiction is proposed. Macroeconomic model R1-4 is modified to account for this proposal. A forecast for some economic indicators is considered in accordance with the modified model.
