Study of the effectiveness of active magnetic control algorithm

Abstract:
Motion of a tumbling satellite with active magnetic control system is considered. «–Bdot» algorithm is used as a control law. The equations of motion are analytically solved. The effectiveness of the algorithm with respect to the orbit inclination is studied. Stability of stationary solutions is analyzed. Numerical analysis is carried out.
