Active magnetic attitude control system providing three-axis inertial attitude

Abstract:
Active magnetic attitude control system providing arbitrary inertial attitude is considered. An algorithm that closely resembles PD-controller is constructed on the basis of planar model problem. System behavior is analyzed using averaging technique. Angular velocity damping and the desired attitude stability are proven. Optimal algorithm parameters are chosen using Floquet theory.
