The Thermal Convection in the Horizontal Layer of the Gas with the Special Relief of the Lower Surface

V. G. Vasin, A. G. Churbanov
Abstract: The numerical modelling of the natural convection in the horizontal layer of the gas heated from below are carried out in the stream function - vorticity - temperature formulation. On the bottom of the layer the regular ridges were based. Essential differences in the patterns of the convection motions were recognized in these two cases. The results of the modelling may be useful for evaluating of the action of a relief of the surface of a planet on the dynamic of the atmosphere.
