Determining of Illuminated Pieces of Space Objects Surface for Calculation Force and Torque of Light Pressure

I. Yu. Balaban, M. M. Komarov, V. V. Sazonov
Abstract: Herein is presented a new algorithm for determining the pieces of polyhedral surface illuminated by parallel rays. Main application of the algorithm is the calculation of force and torque of light pressure acting on space objects. The algorithm is based on the method of quantitative invisibility by Appel. The main contribution of the algorithm is a new procedure for determining intersection points of edges projections that make the algorithm much faster.
