Investigation of Gravitational Orientation Mode of a Rotating Satellite

V. I. Vetlov, S. M. Novikova, V. V. Sazonov
Abstract: By computer simulation the possibility of using gravitational orientation mode for the rotating Earth satellite is investigated. In this mode the satellite rotates with slow angular rate around its longitudinal axis, that oscillates near the local vertical. The satellite has solar panels and the panels watch the Sun. The investigation purpose is to show that this orientation mode will be kept during about two weeks and will provide the required energy power supply.
