Operator-Splitting Schemes for the Solving Unsteady Convective Heat Transfer Equations in Porous Medium

A. A. Ionkin, A. N. Pavlov, A. G. Churbanov
Abstract: This work deals with operator-splitting schemes for 2D unsteady Navier-Stokes equations in the Boussinesq approximation for an anisotropic porous medium. These implicit schemes are based on the ALE-type grid arrangement and are of second-order in space and of first-order in time. To investigate properties of the schemes, some test problems are examined numerically.
