Solution of the Diffusion Equation in R-Z Geometry by the Difference Potentials Method

A. V. Voronkov, V. S. Ryaben’kii, I. L. Sofronov, E. P. Sychugova
Abstract: An algorithm for solving the diffusion equation in R-Z geometry by the Difference Potentials Method is proposed. This algorithm is efficient for the problems with zone structure of computational domain. The algorithm is evaluated to require O(|ln $\epsilon$|) iterations to find the solution with prescribed accuracy $\epsilon$ > 0. The number of iterations is shown to depend on the mesh sizes weakly.
