Zero-Multiple and Retrograde Periodic Solutions of the Restricted Three-Body Problem
A. D. Bruno
Abstract:
We consider the planar circular restricted three-body problem for small values of the massratio $\mu$, and for fixed values of $\mu$ we study families of its symmetric periodic solutions. For $\mu$ = 0 we describe generating families which include solutions of two two-body problems and solutions of the Hill's problem. For $\mu$=0.00095388, corresponding to the Sun-Jupiter-Spacecraft case, we have computed four families of zero-multiple orbits and six families with the retrograde direction of motion. We compare them with corresponding generating families. The similar comparison is made for families computed by M.R.Broucke for $\mu$= 0.012155 corresponding to the Earth-Moon-Spacecraft case.
