CDSN Method for Solving the Transport Equation in Three-Dimensional X-Y-Z Geometry

A. V. Voronkov, E. P. Sychugova
Abstract: A new characteristic discrete ordinates method for solving the transport equation in three-dimensional X-Y-Z geometry is proposed. This method is a development of idea to create a class of CDSN methods taking into consideration a local property of the transport equation solution in each mesh cell. An algorithm is conservative and it has second order approximation. The results of numerical experiments for comparison with the 'diamond' difference scheme are presented.
