The Interpolation of Optimal Manifold for Calculation of Minimal time Flyby to Asteroids with Solar Sale
M. V. Pomazanov
Abstract:
The method of selecting the nearest asteroids for missions of Solar-sail Spacecraft is presented. It allows to calculate the dependence of the minimal time of the flyby on the time of rendezvous with nearest asteroids. It is based on the multivariate interpolation of both the optimal values of a flying time and conjugate variables, which is calculate in some region of terminal coordinates by numerical solution of a boundary value problem, which follows from the principle of maximum, by the parameter continuation method. For the common type of the system considered the uniqueness theorem of a solution of a boundary value problem for the infinitesimal terminal region is proved. The first approach of conjugate variables and minimal time was also found for the that region.
