Numerical Simulation of High-Frequency Electromagnetic Fields in the Electromagnetic Strength Testing Experiments. 3-D Model

Abstract:
The experiment on electromagnetic strength testing of objects is considered. By mean of numerical simulation the high-frequency electromagnetic fields generation as a result of fast electron beam injection into the vacuum chamber is investigated. 3-D spectral-difference method of numerical integration of Maxwell equations in cylindrical coordinate system is realized. The electromagnetic fields generation regimes in ideal vacuum and in ionized air at low pressure are investigated numerically and analytically.
