Determining of the North Pole Coordinates of Venus Spin Vector

Abstract:
Methods and results of determining of Venus spin vector direction by overlapping radar images of Venera 15, 16 mission are given. For calculating were selected the points of Venus control network which are multiply imaged on radar swaths. Newly determined orbital elements of Venera 15, 16 were used for refinement of the north pole coordinates. These orbital elements are result of combined determining parameters of Venera 15, 16 orbital motion. Model of Venus gravity field and digital terrain model obtained on Magellan mission data was used in calculations.
