Quasistatic Approximation for Calculation of Space-Time Neutron Kinetics in Two-Dimensional R-Z Geometry
A. V. Voronkov, E. A. Zemskov, E. P. Sychugova
Abstract:
This work is devoted to investigation of quasistatic approximation effectiveness in the problem of space-time kinetics calculation. It is supposed that the function of flux may be represented as a product of amplitude, which implies main time dependence, and a form - function, which contains the whole space dependence of flux. The most rapidly time-varying part of flux is obtained from the reactor point kinetics equations. The results of calculation of a test model are given. These results are compared with the direct calculation of this problem by the semi-implicit Alternating Directions Method combined with Exponential Transformation.
