Associative Planning Methods for Problem Solving

L. S. Korukhova, E. Z. Lubimsky
Abstract: This paper concerns research on new programming tools for solving some planning problems of goal-oriented activity. By example of geometric problem solver w e offer the realization of the associative planning method for problem solving. The notion of near situation is introduced. We propose the algorithm of planning based on this notion. This algorithm consolidates deductive and associative methods of problem solving. The new tools are proposed for realization of t his planning method: the watcher for near situations and the special set of stereotypes.
