One-Dimensional Kinetic Model of the Debye Layer on Dielectric Surface

V. V. Savelyev, A. V. Silakov
Abstract: The results of numerical simulation of the one-dimensional non-stationary model of the Debye layer on dielectric surface are considered. The simulation was carried out on the base of the one -dimensional Vlasov's equation for electrons, the Poisson's equation for electric potential and the equation for surface charge density of the dielectric wall. It is shown that because of a process of the secondary electron emission the classical steady-state Debye layer may exists only if the electron temperature is sufficiently low.
