Abstract:
In this paper, we present the formulation and a method for solving the problem of freezing living biological tissue with a flat circular cryoapplicator. The model is a two-dimensional boundary-value problem of Stefan type with nonlinear heat sources of a special type that provide the actually observed spatial localization of the temperature field. Some results of computer simulation are presented.
