Mathematical Modeling in the Problem of Detecting Hazardous Weather

Abstract:
In this paper, the problem of detecting hazardous weather is considered. Possibilities of the transition from methods of direct instrumental monitoring to the use of current forecasting based on methods of mathematical modeling, regression analysis, pattern recognition, and computer vision are discussed. A scheme for the detection and tracking of cloud cells that lead to the occurrence of hazardous weather phenomena from radar measurements is proposed.
