Stepclass-based approach to multicriteria sorting

Abstract:
Multicriteria sorting on the basis of Decision maker’s preferences is under consideration. Strengths and weaknesses of existing methods based on the Verbal Decision Analysis are analyzed. To overcome such weaknesses, an approach to multicriteria sorting using the main features of the method STEPCLASS, initially developed for multiattribute nominal classification, is proposed.
