Decision support methods

Usage-based classification optimization

A. M. Prokofiev

Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University
Abstract: In this article we describe a method for optimizing hierarchical classifications in content management systems, based on user activity monitoring. Compared to existing solutions, it has a wider range of efficient applications and can be used without time-consuming initial setup. We provide conceptual and formal method description with the test results.
Keywords: optimization, evaluation, classifier, classification, ontology engineering.
