Abstract:
Titanates Sm$_{2}$Ti$_{2}$O$_{7}$ and Er$_{2}$Ti$_{2}$O$_{7}$ with pyrochlore structure have been prepared by solid-phase synthesis in air from stoichiometric Sm$_{2}$O$_{3}$(Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$)–TiO$_{2}$ mixtures sequentially at 1673 and 1773 K. High-temperature heat capacity of the oxide compounds has been determined by differential scanning calorimetry. Their thermodynamic properties have been calculated from experimental temperature dependence $C_{p}=f(T)$ .
