Abstract:
The ionic (proton and deuteron) conductivity of the system CaZr$_{1-x}$Sc$_{x}$O$_{3-\alpha}$ ($x$ = 0.03–0.20) is studied experimentally in Н$_{2}$+Н$_{2}$О+N$_{2}$ и D$_{2}$+D$_{2}$O+N$_{2}$ reducing atmospheres at $p$Н$_{2}$О = $p$D$_{2}$О kPa and in the temperature range of 600–900$^{\circ}$C. This system exhibits a considerable H/D isotopic effect in conductivity, and its magnitude is estimated. Using theoretical elaborations, we also estimate the magnitude of the thermodynamic isotope effect in the solubility of H$_{2}$О/D$_{2}$О in the considered system under reducing conditions.
