Electric polarization of inhomogeneously strained rare-earth garnet crystals and films

Abstract: The effect of non-uniform deformations on emergence of electric polarization in rare-earth garnets was analyzed. The research of polarization of rare-earth subsystem in inhomogeneously stressed areas arising in the presence of edge and screw dislocations was conducted. The distribution of electric polarization inside inhomogeneously strained rare-earth garnet films was studied.
