Abstract:
This article describes the experimental and theoretical studies of the mechanisms of failure of ABS polymer in the range of strain rates of 10$^{-4}$–10$^{3}$ s$^{-1}$ at different temperatures of testing (from an ambient temperature of 23 to 100$^\circ$C). The alteration of the type of failure as a function of the strain rate and temperature is analyzed. Based on the structure–time approach, a model of the temperature–rate superposition is proposed.
