Paramagnetic V$^{2+}$ centers in yttrium–aluminum garnet

Abstract:
The study of the EPR spectrum of Y$_{3}$Al$_{5}$O$_{12}$ : V crystals allowed us to determine the parameters of the fine and hyperfine structure of the V$^{2+}$ trigonal centers. The existence of V$^{2+}$ triclinic centers that arose as a result of association of V$^{2+}$ with defects that reduce symmetry was discovered.
