Abstract:
Impedancemetry methods have been used to measure the temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity of nanoparticles using the example of poorly studied vanadium pentoxide synthesized in porous glass nanochannels. The estimates of the band gap and the values of the specific electrical conductivity of nanoparticles of the semiconducting phase V$_{2}$O$_{5}$ are given. The reasons for the narrowing of the band gap of V$_{2}$O$_{5}$ localized in glass nanopores are discussed on the basis of the concept of lone electron pairs and the processes of charge transfer.
