Models of continuum mechanics

B. E. Pobedrya

M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University
Abstract: This paper presents an introduction to the foundations of continuum mechanics. We considere the classical models: the theories of ideal and viscous fluids, the linear and nonlinear theories of elasticity as well as some new models: the composites, coupled effects mechanics, thermal, electromagnetic, diffusion fields.
