Comparison of phenomenological catalytic activity for high-temperature reusable surface insulation

Abstract: Seven kinetic models are compared for their ability to predict recombination coefficients for oxygen and nitrogen atoms and heatmasstransfer over high-temperature reusable surface insulation. The results are compared with Space Shuttle heat measurements and laboratory data.
