Oxidation of hexane in oscillatory conditions

Abstract:
Oscillatory conditions of cold-flame oxidation of a hexane-air mixture at atmospheric pressure are investigated. Various types of oscillation are observed and studied. The relations between the oscillation characteristics – the amplitude, the period, and the threshold maximum temperature – and the experimental conditions (temperature of the second section, contact time, and mixture composition) are determined.
