Dynamic strain model for a fibrous thermoviscoelastic composite
A. D. Resnyanskii, E. I. Romenskii Novosibirsk
Abstract:
A model of a fibrous homogeneous thermoviscoelastic composite is obtained with the aid of a phenomenological averaging procedure using only phase properties. The system of dynamic equations of the composite is closed by an equation of state (elastic potential) which is used to compute the stresses and temperature. These equations satisfy the Onsager symmetry principle and are thermodynamically correct. The derivation of the equations does not use the assumption that the fiber distribution is regular or that the relaxation time is constant; thus the kinetic coefficients can depend on the state of the material.
