A two-dimensional model of the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels in supersonic flow

Abstract:
We carried out an experimental study and a mathematical simulation of the combustion of atomized liquid hydrocarbon fuels in a high-temperature supersonic flow. Comparison of calculated results with experiment shows that the proposed model of the flow can be used to determine the characteristics of the combustion of atomized kerosene in supersonic combustion chambers.
