Recording the pore-substance conductivity in shock treatment of Al$_2$O$_3$ ceramic powder

Abstract: There is a conducting layer behind the shock wave propagating in a porous material in which the main particle constituent is an insulator. The conductivity is associated with the ionized state in the hot pore gas. The proposed recording system provides qualitative information on the thermodynamic state there.
