Nonuniform mass transport in solid alloys in a rheological rupture
E. G. Fateev, V. P. Khan Izhevsk
Abstract:
An experimental investigation is presented which indicates that, in the process of a rheological rupture, solid alloys undergo irreversible changes due to 1) mass transport during the exitation of the loading pulse and 2) anomalously rapid layered flows of specific fractions. It is shown that nonuniform mass transport leads to a jump change in the flow of electrical current through the material.
