Effect of interphase heat transfer on the combustion velocity of foams

Abstract: Experimentally observed characteristics of the combustion of water-fuel foams are analyzed. A correlation is observed between the combustion properties of the foam and the interphase heat-transfer effects which accompany the combustion process. A simplified mathematical model is proposed which can describe all the observed characteristics of foam combustion.
