Burning gusher flowrate evaluation based on diffusive plume height

Abstract: We show that in the diffusive combustion of turbulent underexpanded gas jets the geometric dimensions of the plume are directly associated with the gas flowrate, and we propose a technique for evaluating the flowrate of the burning gushers that arise in the case of well accidents on the basis of the diffusive plume height.
