Abstract:
Concentration limits are determined for detonation of liquid homogeneous mixed systems consisting of an explosive or oxidizing agent and a nonexplosive solvent (fuel). The connection of concentration limit with the chemistry and energy generation in the detonation process is demonstrated on the example of solutions of nitromethane and tetranitromethane with trifluoroacetic acid.
