Abstract:
We present the results of high-accuracy calculations of functions of single-component gas distribution in velocities in the shock front with Mach numbers 3, 4, 5, and 10. The nonstationary method of statistic modelling and the Mott-Smith method are used concurrently. Colliding molecules are presented as solid spheres. In all the cases considered, the distribution functions of particle pairs in relative velocities over the space sections of the front insignificant exceed (1–2%) exceed their equilibrium values behind the wave in the range of thermal velocities.
